Frequently Asked Questions

  • May I bring a family member or friend to my visit?

Of course! In fact we encourage this due to the amount of information that will be discussed with you.

  • What else should I bring to my appointment?

To make for the most efficient use of your time with the practitioner, it is a good idea to be prepared with a list of questions and issues you wish to discuss. Also, if you have previous lab results and reports from previous physicians which you feel are pertinent, please bring copies of these with you to your initial visit.

  • Do you sell supplements and do you have to be a client to purchase these?

We carry premium quality supplements that are sold to both clients and non-clients.  Feel free to visit our store and browse through our carefully chosen selection.

  • Is there any paperwork I will need to complete prior to my appointment?

Yes. After confirming an appointment time with a GladdMD Client Concierge, you will be sent the new client intake form as well as a food diary via email. Please print, complete and bring these in with you at the time of your initial consultation.

  • What is Hello Health and why do I need a profile?

Hello Health is a web-based, HIPAA secure database which is used as an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.  We will create a profile for you which will be used as your chart. Once created, you will be able to access and edit your Hello Health profile.

  • How do I schedule an appointment?

When you are ready to schedule, you will contact GladdMD either by phone or email and a Client Concierge will be able to provide you with the earliest available times. To ensure your certainty, we will collect a $100 deposit from you over the phone.

  • How often will I need to be seen?

Typically you can expect a four week follow up visit to review labs after the initial consultation. After this, the amount of time determined to follow up will vary on an individual basis but once you are on your way to optimal health, you can plan on semi-annual to annual follow up visits.

  • Will my insurance cover my labwork?

Lab orders for blood work can be taken to a laboratory that is contracted with your insurance so that you may use your insurance to cover the costs.  Though we do our best to code your order in a way that will justify specific tests being conducted, insurance companies have begun covering less preventative procedures. Therefore, we can never guarantee coverage.

  • What are the costs for follow up visits?

Follow up visits with the Integrative practitioners are based on an hourly rate of $225 (billed at 15 minute increments).

Dr. Zimmerman's follow up visits are based on an hourly rate of $365.

Dr. Gladd's follow up visits are based on an hourly rate of $425.

  • Is it necessary to see the nutritionist/dietician?

Dr. Gladd feels that proper nutrition is a key component of optimal health.  Your first visit with our nutritionist/dietician is included in your initial consultation and is aimed at arming you with the knowledge and resources to transform your diet.

You will meet with an Integrative practitioner for 60 minutes to discuss your health concerns and goals.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We will provide a coded visit worksheet as well as a receipt which most clients use to file with their insurance company as an out-of-network claim.
