I have never met anyone who told me that the crust was their favorite part of the pizza. In fact, most people I know will eat only the part of the crust that has the toppings on it. So, here is a pizza that is basically, just the “toppings.” You can easily make one large pizza or make small, individual pies and let everyone select the veggies of their choice.

Ingredients:
- 1-2 lbs ground hormone/antiobioic-free organic sausage
- pizza sauce
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
- 1 cup(s) sliced mushrooms
- minced garlic
- shredded mozzarella
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Take a pie plate (if making larger pizzas) or small glass ramekins (if making individual pizzas) and press the sausage onto the bottom of the plate/ramekin to make a “crust”. Place the sausage crusts in the preheated oven and bake until the sausage is browned and cooked through.
While the sausage is baking, sauté the veggies and seasonings of your choice in a skillet with a little olive oil, 5-10 minutes or until softened.
Remove sausage crusts from oven, top with the sautéed veggies. Spread desired amount of pizza sauce on top of veggies and top with shredded cheese.
Place back in the oven until the cheese is melted and the pizzas are heated through.
Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes. Slice with a pizza cutter.
