Apple Cinnamon Porridge

Apples and cinnamon go so well together, especially on a sleepy morning when you're in a hurry but you want something satisfying for breakfast. This is ready in 10 minutes, grain-free and oh-so-delicious. It may just become your favorite part of waking up.

  • 1/2 banana (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup(s) coconut or almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 2 tablespoon(s) organic butter or coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup(s) almond flour/meal
  • 1 tablespoon(s) flaxseed meal
  • sea salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 gala apple (diced)
  • pinch cinnamon
  • pinch nutmeg


  1. Combine Banana, Coconut Milk and Butter in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer, then add Flour, Meal and Sea Salt.
  3. Turn heat to low; cook approximately five minutes. (Add more milk for a thinner consistency, or more flour for a thicker consistency.)
  4. Serve with fruit of choice, yogurt if non-dairy free, and cold milk of choice.
  5. While porridge is simmering, heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Add apples and spices, and sauté until caramelized
  7. Set aside to top porridge. Serve immediately.
